I am honored to be welcomed into the lives of my clients.  My personal experience having a family member with cancer inspired me to extend my work as a Massage Therapist to obtain focused training to safely work with oncology clients. Whether a person is currently undergoing treatment or actively living with a history of cancer diagnosis, my hope is that through this gentle work I am able to bring a sense of peace, comfort and caring touch to each of them.

I am honored to be a well-being partner with each client I encounter no matter what their circumstances.  My personal experience of having so many friends with cancer inspire me to take a particular  interest in enhancing the lives of people with cancer, therefore, I decided to take an oncology class to better serve my clients.

After witnessing the positive effects that therapeutic massage had on my family while going through their cancer treatments, it inspired me to launch an oncology  massage program, both hospital-based and in my private practice. It’s been my privilege to compassionately listen to patients who are faced with the challenges of medical treatments and to develop a customized, integrated plan to relieve their discomfort and stress during ongoing and post-cancer treatments.

MASSAGE ONCOLOGY
Oncology massage is an approach to massage therapy based in both compassion and specialized massage treatments to help people manage their experience with cancer.
Review of the scientific literature indicates oncology massage helps improve quality of life. Benefits include improved relaxation, sleep, and immune function as well as relieving anxiety, pain, fatigue and nausea. Oncology massage therapists are trained to meet people where they are in their experience with cancer and apply a highly individualized massage treatment to comfort, nurture and support them in their process.

The massage therapists listed in this section have received training specific to offering massage to people being treated for or recovering from cancer.
