NBCR SPEAKER SERIES
Please join the NBCR community for our free monthly Speaker Series events sponsored by Anna Jaques Hospital!
In our interactive sessions we explore ways to heal and expand our awareness through healthy practices! Sessions are for anyone affected by cancer…newly diagnosed, in treatment and beyond as well as loved ones and caregivers. During the NBCR Speaker Series events, participants who have been affected by cancer are eligible to receive a gift certificate for services such as oncology massage, acupuncture, reiki, guided imagery, manual lymph drainage, health coaching, yoga therapy and nutrition and wellness counseling.
If you were unable to attend our sessions live, some recordings are available at the bottom of this page. The sessions are just a click away!
In this informative and supportive creative writing workshop, author and educator Ellen Szabo explores journaling as a gentle, creative practice of reflection, expression, and self-care. Designed to inspire, expand, and support your journaling practice, Ellen uses writing prompts and guided discussion to share how journaling can be an avenue for exploration, transformation, and discovery.
With an emphasis on creativity and healing, the workshop explores the many forms that journaling can take and the many places it can take us. No previous writing experience is necessary. No one will be required to speak or share; you can participate as a listener in a confidential environment.
Participants affected by cancer living in the North of Boston area are eligible to receive a gift certificate that may be redeemed for services like massage, acupuncture, reiki, yoga therapy, nutrition counseling, health coaching, and more!
Ellen Szabo holds a B.A. in English and American Literature from Harvard College and a M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has dedicated her career to helping others heal and grow through storytelling.
